Welcome to Ladies on Spokes! We are a non-profit Christian women’s club that was formed to promote the sport of cycling in the Coweta/Fayette County, Georgia area. We love cycling and want to share our enthusiasm and friendship with other ladies in the community. Our mission is to enrich the lives of women by uniting them together to support one another with love and acceptance, encouraging each other to become physically fit, sharing the love of Christ with all those around us, and meeting the needs of others whenever possible.
Our membership includes all ages, backgrounds, riding abilities, shapes, and sizes, and we guarantee you will fit in. The club provides ride leaders for all paces, and we never leave anyone behind. We cycle throughout the year with scheduled rides during the spring and summer and more impromptu outings during the colder weather. Many members participate in group rides and races as well. Just check our calendar or Facebook page for the latest information.
Along with riding, club members get together socially whenever possible. Club activities include special events like walking the Calloway Gardens Festival of Lights as well as our Spring Spin-off and annual Christmas party. In keeping with our mission of meeting others’ needs, we support the local fitness community by volunteering at their events, and we have raised money to support two club members who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro fight human trafficking.
Formed in August of 2008, we now have 108 members. We would love for you to join us. Check out our calendar to see all of the opportunities made available each day. We have ride leaders for all paces: A group (15+mph); B group (13-14+ mph); C group (12 or less mph).
