Come join us for an easy hike at Dauset Trails. We will meet at the Visitor Center and talk to the folks there to determine which trail(s) we will do. We plan to do about a 4 or 5 mile hike depending on how everyone feels after hibernating over the winter.
This is not a state park so there is no parking fee.
Be sure to bring water and snacks. The visitor center has limited snacks and they only take cash or checks if you think you might want to buy a T-shirt, hat or other item.
Afterwards, those who are interested, can drive a short distance to the tiny town of Flovilla where there are a few shops and the Yahola Creek Restaurant (great food!!) for dinner. They open at 4 pm. Or we can eat in Jackson, GA if we finish our hike too early.
Please RSVP Geralyn via call or text 404-317-1803 BEFORE the event as I generally do not have cell service in this area. I’m hoping I will have service at the Visitor Center, at least.
